We will not soon forget his visit, nor his connecting the beautiful faces of those who died in the Orlando massacre, which surrounded us as we worshiped, to the words of the Greek gay poet, Dinos Christianopoulos, written in the 1970’s, found on a makeshift monument in Ferguson, MO, ““They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.” Indeed, we are each seeds.

Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the Anglican Communion will speak twice at the Church of the Redeemer for LGBT Pride weekend, June 25 and 26.

On June 25 Bishop Robinson will speak at a public forum at 7p. On the 26th, he will preach at the 9:30a service. Both events are open to absolutely everyone.

Parking is conveniently located nearby at the Dehart Street garage.

You will not want to miss this opportunity to hear this warm, inspiring, courageous man.

An Interfaith Vigil for Orlando, sponsored by the Morris Area Clergy Council, will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 8:00pm, at Church of the Redeemer, 36 South Street, Morristown. Following the Prayer Service at Redeemer, there will be a procession to the Morristown Green to read the names of the victims and to publicly demonstrate our solidarity.

Please share this information with your friends. Persons attending are encouraged to bring a candle or light source for use as we march to the Green.

For clergy: there will be reserved seating for ALL clergy/leaders in the front of the church. Clergy will not vest. Clergy will gather in the parlor of the Parish House (the building on the left, across the driveway from the church), and process in at the beginning of the service together.
